Farm Ops Technician (8hr Days) $20.40

About the Role

The primary responsibility is to assist and support the Farm Manager in activities involving sample collection, record keeping, irrigating crops, spraying weeds, and other farm work.

Responsibilities

• Performs basic pivot maintenance.
• Changes the location where wastewater is being applied and irrigates crops as needed.
• Assists in permit sampling requirements as needed.
• Responds to odor complaints as required in the permit.
• Mows/sprays weeds around Idahoan farm operations and performs snow removal and ice mitigation for Idahoan facility parking lots.
• Operates harvesting equipment as needed and hauls equipment to the different plants.
• Maintains complete and accurate records including the Safety Data Sheet (SDS) binder.
• Operates, cleans, maintains, and troubleshoots the wastewater treatment plant.
• Complies with all safety regulations, attends safety meetings, and follows all company safety rules.
• Follows all good manufacturing practices as set up by company policy.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Effective oral and written communication skills.
• Valid, current driver’s license with a driving record that enables insurability.

Work Environment

• Ability to perform various physical activities such as heavy lifting (up to 50 lbs.).
• Ability to work in adverse weather or temperature conditions.
• Must be able to work various shifts as assigned by supervisor.
