Primary Duties & Responsibilities
- Act as the advisor’s primary point of contact and liaison, coordinating all aspects of the client's integrated plan between the family, internal teams, and external partners to ensure a cohesive approach.
- Conduct thorough discovery to ascertain the family’s long-term objectives that align with their principles and vision.
- Based on the family’s objectives, identify issues and needs to design an integrated plan.
- Consult with the advisor and family on the overall integrated plan and the complex interaction between different domains.
- Recognize opportunities to position and coordinate internal and external partners in alignment with objectives.
- Construct an actionable roadmap prioritizing when and how to address the family’s needs and structure engagement pricing.
- Communicate pertinent client information and objectives among multiple partners to streamline communications while minimizing duplication.
- Collaborate with strategic partners to develop and implement strategies across a broad range of legal, tax, and financial planning topics to ensure alignment with the client’s integrated plan and effectively facilitate the communication of complex techniques.
- Manage the delivery of planning components ensuring timely execution and a seamless experience throughout the engagement.
- Support the development of advisors to equip them to lead family meetings and conversations.
Qualifications
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree required.
- CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER® designation required.
- Other advanced degree or designation desirable (MBA, CFA, CPA).
- Series 6 or 7 and resident state insurance license required or working towards license within 6 months.
- Minimum 12 years of experience in wealth management, financial planning, or a related field directly working with advisors and U/HNW clients ($40M+).
- Experience working with family offices highly desirable.
- Strong expertise across multiple areas of wealth management including financial planning, insurance and investment products, estate and business planning, and other HNW planning strategies with a deep understanding of the implications a particular solution may have on others.
- Exceptional organizational, strategic, and communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex legal and financial concepts clearly and concisely to non-expert family members.
- Unquestioned integrity, professionalism, and discretion when handling highly confidential matters.
- Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple time-sensitive projects.
- Pioneering ability to develop rapport and strong relationships with clients, financial advisors, internal teams and third-party partners.
- Advanced experience with financial planning software and Excel, PowerPoint, and CRM systems.
Compensation
Pay Range - Start: $160,000.00
Pay Range - End: $240,000.00
Structure: 110 Geographic Specific Pay Structure
