About the role
The Supervisor will be based in Skowhegan but will require regular travel to Rockland and Belfast.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and support Visit Support Workers
- Review and assign visitation referrals
- Assist in supervising visits when necessary
- Oversee the visitation centers
- Review documentation
- Work as a member of a team to manage the Family Visitation Program
Requirements
- Availability during peak hours of 2-7pm Monday through Friday, with flexibility to adjust work hours as necessary
- Agency cell phone and laptop provided
- Reliable transportation and a State of Maine driver's license
- Ability to lift young children in and out of vehicles/car seats and carry infants in their car seats/young children to and from vehicles
Qualifications
- Minimum of 21 years of age or older
- Bachelor's degree in social work or related field
- At least 12 months of previously documented experience working with children and families
- Minimum of one year supervisory experience
Skills
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Knowledge of child development and family dynamics
