About the role

We are looking to recruit two Family Support Workers within Bristol East Central Area Office in St Pauls.

Responsibilities

Support a team of social workers and support staff in working with vulnerable children and families. Have experience in working with children and families and an understanding of the role statutory Children’s Services play in their lives. Work in partnership with families and multiagency partners. Be confident in talking to children and young people. Understand the vulnerabilities faced by families who experience poor mental health, addiction and domestic abuse.

Requirements

Experience in working with children and families. Understanding of statutory Children’s Services role. Good communication skills. Capacity to work as a committed team member. Proven ability to be organised, flexible and able to work under pressure. Confidence in talking to children and young people. Understanding of equity and the importance of recognising diversity.
