Family Support Worker (Part Time)

About the role

Hutchinson Public Schools is seeking a Family Support Worker.

Responsibilities

• Provide support to families and children
• Work with both adults and preschool-aged children

Requirements

• A high school diploma or GED
• An Associate's Degree preferred
• Training or coursework in human services, social work, education, family services, or a related field preferred
• Must obtain a credential or certification in social work, human services, family services, counseling, or a related field within 18 months of hire

Qualifications

• Effective communication skills
• Cultural sensitivity
• Understanding of family and child development
• Ability to work independently and as part of an interdisciplinary team
