Family Support Worker

Description

Thompson was founded in 1886 as an orphanage and has since expanded to operate across the Carolinas, Florida, Tennessee, and Kentucky. Thompson's continuum of care includes prevention, mental health services, and foster care, all of which are trauma-informed and evidence-based.

What will you do as a Family Support Worker?

• Provide transportation of youth to/from out-of-home care placements, to/from school, and to/from visits.
• Serve as a supervisor for parent visits.
• Manage crises, de-escalate youth and adults, and drive.
• A significant portion of the work involves face-to-face interactions with high-needs teenagers.

What does this position offer?

• Starting Pay Rate: $15.74 hourly

Requirements

• Minimum Qualifications/Requirements:
• High School diploma/GED required; A.A. preferred
• Minimum of 1 year of relevant professional experience
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite application software
• Must have a reliable vehicle/transportation
• Must have a valid driver’s license
• Must meet any credentialing, licensing, and privileging standards as they pertain to the department
