Family Support Specialist Manager (Social Service Exp.)

Reports to: Senior Project Manager • Full-time position with supervisory responsibilities for case management and outreach staff.

Responsibilities

• Lead family support meetings, analyze data, and coordinate strategies to meet performance measures.
• Conduct intake, assessments, and home visits, assisting residents with development plans and service navigation.
• Maintain confidentiality and track resident data in LEARN.
• Attend community meetings and participate in program-related meetings.
• Provide resources and knowledge for clients to access capital, including loans for financial goals such as housing and consumer products, to build credit, reduce debt, and support wealth growth through entrepreneurship.
• Offer consultation services in financial management and goal-setting.
• Host in-person and virtual seminars for clients seeking financial literacy management resources and capital access.
• Support and promote the development of the USI CDFI client base.
• Flexibility to work nights, weekends, and travel as needed.
• Perform additional assigned duties.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred in Social Work, Sociology, Psychology, or a relevant field, or equivalent education/experience.
• 5 years of nonprofit or human services experience providing assessments, referrals, and follow-up.
• Supervisory experience preferred.
• Commitment to family-focused service planning and program philosophies.
• Ability to handle privileged information confidentially and with cultural sensitivity.
• Availability to work evenings/weekends as needed.
• Valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle.
• Strong interpersonal, organizational, and time management skills.
• Ability to analyze data and design programs based on resident-driven and data-driven rationale.
• Must be able to lift up to 25 lbs regularly and load/unload materials as needed.
• Comfortable working independently and in a team environment.
• Computer proficiency in MS Office Suite and other software.
