Family Store Associate / Key Holder

Essential Responsibilities

• Aid customers purchasing items via the Point of Sale (POS) system.
• Operate and maintain a cash register, accepting payment and making change.
• Wrap or bag merchandise for customers.
• Prepare and balance the cash drawer; assist in preparing bank deposits as requested.
• Work to maintain sales and production rotation quotas.
• Clean shelves, counters, or tables.
• Maintain the neatness and security of the cash register area.
• Help set up displays and arrange merchandise to promote sales.
• Ensure good customer relations by providing prompt, courteous assistance.
• Assist customers who are donating items.
• Place and arrange items in the store as directed.
• Answer the telephone in a professional and courteous manner.
• Ensure the store is maintained in a clean and inviting manner.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Additional Responsibilities

• Will have keys to the store and be responsible for opening and closing the store as needed.

Qualifications

• Education/Experience: High School diploma or GED (desired), or any equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities. Experience working in a retail store preferred.

Skills, Knowledge & Abilities

• Must be available for a flexible schedule.
• Ability to operate a cash register, perform routine mathematical computations, and count change.
• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
• Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one situations to customers, clients, and other employees.
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
• Basic Computer operation knowledge.
• Basic knowledge in Microsoft Office 365.
• Working knowledge of TEAMS and SharePoint.

Certificates And Licenses

• Complete Safe From Harm training, and keep current as needed.
