About the role
This position coordinates services for children and families, supports and advocates for children and caregivers, implements the shelter's children’s program, consults with DCF, supports families with DCF involvement, and participates in collaborative systems work in Franklin and Grand Isle Counties.

Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in human service field (Social Work, Counseling, Childhood Education, etc.) or equivalent education/experience
- Commitment to valuing diversity and contributing to an inclusive working and learning environment
- Effective verbal and written communication skills required; bilingual abilities are a plus
- Excellent interpersonal communication skills, including the ability to work sensitively with diverse populations and in high-stress environments
- A highly motivated and responsible individual with the ability to relate to a wide variety of people in a nonjudgmental, positive, and competent manner
- Excellent presentation and education skills and ability to relate to children/youth
- Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office and general computer applications, including databases, email and internet-based tools
- Confidentiality for all program survivors
- Provide and receive appropriate feedback, address, and manage conflict and maintain professionalism
- Willingness to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends
- Clean driving record, valid driver’s license, and access to reliable transportation
