Family Service Worker
About the role
The Family Service Worker supports parents as they identify and meet their own goals, nurtures the development of their children in the context of their family and culture, and advocates for communities that are supportive of children and families of all cultures. This position is an entry-level case management role that also assists families with enrollment into the Early Head Start/Head Start program.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Bachelor’s or Associate degree in social services or a related field with two years of experience preferred
- Must obtain, within eighteen months of hire, a credential or certification in social work, human services, family services, counseling, or a related field (training provided by Arkansas Early Learning)
- Must have a working telephone or cell phone
- Must have a valid driver’s license with a minimum of liability insurance
- General knowledge of computers and programs such as Microsoft Office Suite, Google Workspace, Adobe, etc.

About Arkansas Early Learning
Arkansas Early Learning (AEL) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization established to serve the needs of children ages birth to five and their families throughout the State of Arkansas. We provide transformational learning programs in a childcare setting, offering free Infant, Toddler, and Pre-K programs across 11 counties. AEL implements an educational curriculum starting as early as six weeks old and provides a variety of child and family support services in a loving, caring, and safe environment.
