About the role
Join the Emergency Team in Grand Forks, BC, with a community practice in your choice of Grand Forks, Christina Lake, Midway, or Greenwood. Boundary Hospital is a Level I Community Hospital with a 12‑bed facility and a 24/7 Emergency Department. The role combines emergency department work with longitudinal community‑based primary care in Grand Forks or surrounding communities, which is required to maintain local medical stability. Your clinic work directly supports the ED and the people who depend on both services. Specialist support is available from regional centres in Trail (~100 km) and Kelowna (231 km). Grand Forks offers small‑town warmth amid rolling hills, mountains, and a peaceful river, with nearby Christina Lake providing warm, clear waters for recreation. The area provides endless outdoor activities, a relaxed, connected, family‑friendly lifestyle, and adventure right outside your door.
Responsibilities
- Provide ongoing community‑based primary care in Grand Forks or surrounding communities.
- Work in the Emergency Department, handling a broad mix of cases and performing hands‑on procedures.
- Support the emergency department through clinic work that directly backs ED operations.
- Participate in a collegial team, mentoring new clinicians and contributing to rural emergency and community care.
Requirements
Emergency Physician; open to experienced practitioners or recent Canadian/International graduates willing to practice in a rural setting and provide longitudinal community care.
