Family Practice w/Obstetrics

About the role

This facility is seeking a Family Practice with Obstetrics Physician for locum tenens support to fill a current need. The position is located in Appleton, Wisconsin, along the Fox River, home to Lawrence University with nearby industrial businesses, shopping centers, a public library, and various recreational destinations.

Responsibilities

• Provide inpatient family medicine care with obstetrics and gynecology oversight, including deliveries and urgent scenarios.
• Manage a patient volume of 25‑40 per day.
• Work within a Family Medicine Residency practice setting.

Requirements

• Wisconsin state medical license.
• Board Certified in Family Medicine with Obstetrics and Gynecology (OB/GYN).
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification.
• Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRS) certification.
• Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) registration.

Qualifications

• Experience overseeing deliveries and managing urgent obstetric scenarios in an inpatient setting.
• Familiarity with a family medicine residency training environment.

Pay

$135.80 – $147.00 per hour (locum tenens rate).

Schedule

• Weekend shifts: Friday – Monday, 5 p.m. to 7 a.m.
• Approximately 20 shifts per year.
• One weeknight per month.
• Some holiday coverage required.
