Family Practice Physician

Role Overview This position involves providing outpatient primary care services, focusing on wellness, prevention, and early detection for a diverse patient population. Responsibilities Educate patients and families on health maintenance. Determine necessary referrals and follow-up urgency. Exercise clinical judgment to prescribe treatments and order tests. Document all patient interactions accurately and timely. Review and sign off on diagnostic and consult notes. Handle patient communications promptly. Participate in quality improvement, continuing education, and patient care programs. Collaborate with medical staff and oversee mid-level providers and nursing staff as assigned. Ensure compliance with coding, billing, and confidentiality regulations. Coordinate hospital admissions/discharges and complete necessary documentation. Engage in patient retention and community outreach activities. Qualifications & Skills Degree in Internal Medicine or Family Practice from an accredited institution. Licensed to practice in the state. Board certification or eligibility in primary care. Minimum of two years' outpatient clinical experience. Current DEA and DPS certifications. Effective communication, computer, and documentation skills. Experience with EMR systems.
