About the role

The Ambulatory Staff Nurse - Per Diem Rotating Day at The Brigham and Women's Hospital, Inc. (Mass General Brigham) provides patient care for assigned patients in accordance with Nursing Standards of Care. This role requires 2 years of clinical nursing experience and at least 1 year of abortion procedural experience.

Responsibilities

• Assesses, plans, implements, and evaluates a plan of care for assigned patients.
• Maintains continuity through clear and concise communication.
• Develops a comprehensive plan of care based on initial assessments and information from other healthcare team members.
• Documents patient care in compliance with nursing documentation standards.
• Evaluates the effectiveness of the plan of care and revises it as needed.
• Ensures a safe environment for patients, staff, families, and visitors.
• Administers medication and performs nursing procedures safely.
• Collaborates with other disciplines and participates in quality management and improvement programs.
• Shares knowledge and experiences with colleagues and participates in educational programs.
• Adheres to hospital policies and supports the smooth running of the unit.

Requirements

• Massachusetts Registered Nurse license.
• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing required.
• Experience in Women's Health preferred.
• Proficiency with EPIC preferred.
• Bilingual preferred.
• Able to work weekends per the MNA contract.
