About the role

The Harbor Area Family Resource Center (FRC) is seeking a Family Partner for its Chelsea-based location. This role requires experience raising a child or youth with significant mental health needs.

Responsibilities

• Documents activities provided daily in medical records
• Facilitates Family Support groups
• Auxiliary in transporting families to FRC or other community locations
• Performs program-specific duties and functions
• Participates in agency committees
• Provides on-call coverage and crisis intervention as needed
• May require a valid driver’s license, clear driving record, and personal vehicle for use during work hours

Qualifications

• May or may not have program-specific experience
• Excellent cultural awareness and sensitivity
• Computer literate, including Microsoft Office and Internet Explorer, with the ability to learn new software applications
• Bilingual Spanish or other languages strongly preferred
• The person must come from the community with “lived” experience with family members
