Family Office Accountant
Responsibilities
- Maintain a log of all journal entries and prepare the majority of the journal entries in the general ledger.
- Analyze appropriate balance sheet accounts on a monthly basis.
- Perform bill pay functions.
- Prepare bank reconciliation on a monthly basis.
- Process checks when needed.
- Maintain several ad hoc spreadsheets.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance or equivalent.
- Two to five years of accounting and/or bookkeeping experience.
- Strong knowledge of US Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
- Proficient in business software applications, including Microsoft Excel, Word, etc.
- Effective communication skills and ability to maintain confidentiality.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working within accounting software such as Sage and/or QuickBooks.
- Previous experience within a family office setting, real estate, investment, or wealth management institution.
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) licensure.
Pay
A reasonable compensation estimate for this role, which includes estimated wages, benefits, and other forms of compensation, is $70,304.00 to $99,590.40 on an annualized basis. The exact starting compensation to be offered will be determined at the time of selecting an applicant for hire, in which a wide range of factors will be considered, including but not limited to, skillset, years of applicable experience, education, credentials, and licensure.
