Family Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant (PRN)

Medcor is seeking a Family Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to work PRN in an employer-based clinic in Albuquerque, NM. This role supports an advanced care clinic focusing on occupational health and primary care, operating Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–4:30 PM. Hours are not guaranteed and will be filled on an as-needed basis.

About the role

The PA/FNP will deliver advanced care in collaboration with Medcor’s medical and operational leadership, on-site staff, and client stakeholders. The clinic offers a broad scope of services, including diagnosis and treatment of workers’ compensation injuries, urgent care, preventive services, and regulatory exams. No weekend or on-call hours are required.

Responsibilities

• Provide superior clinical care and customer service to Medcor’s clients and employees
• Treat injuries and illnesses following Evidence-Based Medicine standards
• Build and maintain internal team relationships
• Collaborate with client professionals in health, safety, and environmental practices
• Collaborate with client human resources and benefits professionals on clinical issues
• Support client wellness and preventive programs
• Document and manage information using state-of-the-art EMR and other tools
• Educate patients on medical conditions and treatment options
• Coach patients on healthy behaviors

Requirements

• Valid unrestricted New Mexico licensure
• Current BLS (AHA) and ACLS certifications
• Strong computer skills and familiarity with EMR software
• Positive, outgoing personality and collaborative team player
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with patients, clients, and colleagues
• Willingness to go above and beyond for excellent customer service
• Comfortable working in an on-site clinic environment

Qualifications

• Occupational health experience (preferred)
• Previous work-site clinic experience (preferred)
