About the Role
As a Family Nurse Practitioner in our Mobile Clinic Program, you will champion access to care, lead programs, and bring essential services directly to families who need them most. This is purpose-driven work on wheels—delivering care that meets people where they are and breaking down barriers for every stage of life.
Responsibilities
- Conduct physical exams, diagnose and treat acute and chronic illnesses, and provide routine primary care to improve patient health outcomes.
- Perform patient assessments, including taking medical histories, conducting physical examinations, and ordering/interpreting diagnostic tests.
- Develop and manage treatment plans for chronic conditions such as diabetes, hypertension, and asthma.
- Maintain accurate and timely patient records using electronic health record (EHR) systems.
- Handle administrative duties, including opening/closing the clinic, inventory management, patient follow-up, verifying insurance, collecting payment, scheduling appointments, and maintaining a clean environment.
- Administer vaccinations, conduct health screenings, and educate patients on disease prevention and healthy lifestyles.
- Collaborate with other healthcare providers, nurses, and medical assistants to deliver comprehensive care.
- Participate in community outreach activities to raise awareness about the mobile clinic’s services and engage with the community.
- Actively contribute to leadership-level planning for growth opportunities.
- When mobile clinic events are not scheduled, operate as a Family Nurse Practitioner within the brick-and-mortar clinic as needed.
Requirements
- Master's or DNP as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) from an accredited program.
- Current Family Nurse Practitioner Board Certification (ANCC or AANPCB) or equivalent.
- Currently licensed or eligible for California APRN licensure as a Family Nurse Practitioner.
- Clinical experience in family and primary care services preferred.
- Experience with EHR systems preferred.
- Ability and willingness to provide world-class service to all stakeholders.

Work Environment
- 100% onsite role with travel to various community locations, often in underserved or rural areas.
- Flexible working hours, including some evenings or weekends, depending on the clinic’s schedule.
- Regular work on and around the mobile unit in a community-facing role requiring strong interpersonal communication and professionalism.
- Fast-paced environment with outdoor work and varied weather conditions.
Pay
Offers are based on experience, qualifications, and internal equity. We are committed to fair and equitable compensation practices.
