Duties And Responsibilities
- Diagnoses and treats allergic or immunologic conditions
- Provides therapies such as allergen immunotherapy and immunoglobin therapy
- Prescribes medication such as antihistamines, antibiotics, and nasal, oral, topical, or inhaled glucocorticosteroids
- Maintains a problem-oriented health record for each patient seen
- Completes thorough documentation of each patient’s visit
- Maintains knowledge and continuing education related to advancements in the field of allergy and immunology
- Maintains appropriate productivity standards of specialty as established by the Center
- Provides excellent customer service to assist patients with their health care needs
- Provides clinical oversight over clinical support staff engaged in activities and procedures, as appropriate
Job Qualifications
- Master’s Degree from an accredited university in a Nurse Practitioner Program
- Board Certified AANP, ANCC, or related required
- Previous experience as a Family Nurse Practitioner specializing in Immunology or similar specialty highly desirable
- Must have current unrestricted license to practice as a Nurse Practitioner from the Texas Board of Nursing
- Annual continuing medical education as required by board specialty
- Must be registered and have current DEA
- Certified in Basic Life Support (BLS), American Heart Association
- Bilingual in English and Spanish highly preferred
