Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP)

About the Role
The Clinical Nurse Practitioner provides oversight for infusions administered in our ambulatory infusion centers. Service areas include Hickory, NC, with occasional travel to other clinics as needed.
Schedule
Monday – Friday; 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM. Saturdays as needed.
Qualifications
- Graduate from an accredited nurse practitioner program and active Nurse Practitioner (FNP) license in the state(s) of practice.
- Experience in a family physician setting; strong knowledge of chronic disease states as well as current and emerging therapies.
- BLS certification or ability to obtain upon hire.
- Proficient in partner programs (e.g., MS Outlook, Word, Excel).
- Ability to cope with an ambiguous, changing environment while remaining calm under pressure.
- Must work as a team member and develop productive, cooperative working relationships with all members of the Palmetto Infusion team.
Responsibilities
- Assist with managing adverse drug reactions (ADRs).
- Assist with policy, procedure, and protocol development as needed.
- Collaborate with nurses and other NPs/MDs.
- Perform nursing functions as needed.
- Oversee infusions administered in the Ambulatory Infusion Center (AIC).
- Travel to other AICs for staffing coverage when needed.
- Maintain strong knowledge of all existing and developing infusion therapies.

Physical Demands
The physical demands described are representative of those required to successfully perform the primary functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee may frequently stand, walk, sit, bend, twist, talk, and hear. There may be prolonged periods of sitting, keyboarding, reading, as well as driving or riding in transport vehicles. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required include reading, distance, computer, and color vision. Talking and hearing are essential to communicate with patients, vendors, and staff.
