Family Nurse Practitioner

About the Role

Pine Belt Mental Healthcare Resources is seeking a Family Nurse Practitioner for their residential crisis stabilization facility in Gulfport, MS. This role provides medical care for individuals residing at the facility, working outside of a traditional "4-wall" model to integrate various disciplines and community services for patient benefit. The position is full-time with some on-call duties.

For 50 years, Pine Belt Mental Healthcare Resources has served individuals across an eighteen-county service area, including Amite, Covington, Forrest, Franklin, Greene, Hancock, Harrison, Jeff Davis, Jones, Lamar, Lawrence, Marion, Pear River, Perry, Pike, Stone, Walthall, and Wayne.

Responsibilities

• Provide medical care, including medication dispensing, monitoring, and skills training for individuals at the crisis stabilization facility.
• Administer injections and coordinate with pharmacies.
• Collaborate with individuals, medical providers, and clinicians to establish culturally competent service plans and treatment services.
• Conduct follow-up medication evaluations and monitoring for adults with serious mental illness.
• Deliver psycho-therapeutic nursing and educational interventions.
• Monitor individuals receiving medications and provide emergency services as needed.

Requirements

• Certified Family Nurse Practitioner in the state of Mississippi.
• Valid driver’s license with a satisfactory driving record preferred.
• Personal transportation required to provide services in assigned counties.
• Experience in psychiatric nursing preferred.
