Family Nurse Practitioner

About the role

KidsStreet Urgent Care is growing and seeking a fast, fun, and friendly Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) to provide patient-focused care in a high-volume, fast-paced urgent care environment. This opportunity is ideal for FNPs early in their career, including brand new graduates. You will lead a small team and utilize your full scope of practice, treating patients of all ages—from babies to geriatric patients. The role offers extensive pediatric care experience while keeping other clinical skills sharp.

Following a hosted HQ orientation and training, you will complete several training shifts with existing providers. Ongoing support includes a complimentary pediatric urgent care CE course, an NP on-call for clinical decision-making, and access to treatment protocols. This is a two-year commitment with long-term career growth opportunities.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and treat illnesses such as cold, flu, strep, COVID, and other upper respiratory issues
• Perform minor procedures (e.g., toenail removal, foreign object removal)
• Suturing and splinting
• General orthopedic evaluations and management
• Review of X-rays (with radiologist over-read)
• General dermatology and eye problem management
• EKG interpretations
• Emergency management skills
• General GYN expertise
• Care for children of all ages
• Occupational medicine and telemedicine services

Qualifications

• Family Nurse Practitioner Board Certification (required)
• MSN or higher education (required; new graduates welcome)
• Willingness to obtain DOT certification (cost covered by employer)
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Experience with EMR and Microsoft Office suite (preferred)

Schedule

Clinic hours are 7 days a week with extended availability:

• Monday – Friday: 8:00 a.m. – 8:00 p.m.
• Saturday and Sunday: 9:00 a.m. – 9:00 p.m.

Rotating schedule includes every other weekend. Sample schedule:

• Week 1: Monday (ON), Tuesday (ON), Wednesday (OFF), Thursday (OFF), Friday (OFF), Saturday (ON), Sunday (ON)
• Week 2: Monday (OFF), Tuesday (OFF), Wednesday (ON), Thursday (ON), Friday (ON), Saturday (OFF), Sunday (OFF)
