Family Nurse Practitioner
Aspire Indiana Health is a nonprofit provider of comprehensive “whole health” services including primary medical care, behavioral health, recovery services, and programs addressing the social determinants of health such as housing and employment. We serve Hoosiers of all ages and walks of life across five Central Indiana counties.
About the role
The Nurse Practitioner - Family Medicine / Primary Care will provide quality integrated primary health care services and medication management to children, adolescents, and adults in an outpatient setting. This role functions as an independent and interdependent member of the medical services team, delivering integrated general medical and behavioral health care to clients of all ages. The position also involves extensive work through the FQHC with adults diagnosed with substance use disorders and/or serious mental illness in residential programs/housing.
A hiring bonus of up to $5,000 is available for this role.
Responsibilities
- Provide integrated primary health care services and medication management to children, adolescents, and adults in an outpatient setting.
- Serve as an independent and interdependent member of the medical services team.
- Deliver integrated general medical and behavioral health care to clients of all ages, including elderly populations.
- Work extensively with adults diagnosed with substance use disorders and/or serious mental illness within residential programs/housing.
Requirements
- Master’s degree in Nursing or a Doctorate degree in Nursing from a college/university accredited by the US Department of Education.
- One (1) year of supervised experience in primary care with Severely Mentally Ill (SMI) and/or substance use disorder populations (highly preferred).
- Recognition as a Registered Nurse (RN) with Prescriptive Authority by the State of Indiana.
- Current Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) certificate and State of Indiana Controlled Substance Registration (CSR).
- ANCC or other certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner.
- Current BLS certification.
