Family Nurse Practitioner

About the role

KidsStreet Urgent Care is growing and seeking a full-time Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) to provide patient-focused care in a high-volume, fast-paced urgent care environment. This opportunity is ideal for FNPs early in their career, including new graduates. You’ll lead a small team, utilize your full scope of practice, and treat patients of all ages—from babies to geriatric patients. The role offers extensive pediatric care experience while keeping other clinical skills sharp.

Following a hosted HQ orientation and training, you’ll complete several training shifts with existing providers. Ongoing support includes a complimentary pediatric urgent care course, a provider on-call for clinical decision-making, and access to treatment protocols. This is a two-year commitment with unmatched career growth potential.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and treat illnesses such as cold, flu, strep, COVID, and other upper respiratory issues
• Perform minor procedures (e.g., toenail removal, foreign object removal)
• Suturing and splinting
• General orthopedic evaluations and management, including x-ray review (over-read by a radiologist)
• General dermatology and eye problem assessments
• EKG interpretations
• Emergency management and general GYN expertise
• Treat children of all ages and provide occupational medicine services
• Conduct telemedicine visits

Qualifications

• Family Nurse Practitioner Board Certification (required)
• MSN or higher education (required; new graduates welcome)
• Willingness to obtain DOT certification (cost covered by employer)
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Experience with EMR and Microsoft Office suite (preferred)

Schedule

Clinic hours are 7 days a week with extended shifts:

• Monday – Friday: 8:00 a.m. – 8:00 p.m.
• Saturday and Sunday: 9:00 a.m. – 9:00 p.m.

Rotating schedule includes every other weekend. Sample schedule:

• Week 1: Monday (ON), Tuesday (ON), Wednesday (OFF), Thursday (OFF), Friday (ON), Saturday (ON), Sunday (ON)
• Week 2: Monday (OFF), Tuesday (OFF), Wednesday (ON), Thursday (ON), Friday (OFF), Saturday (OFF), Sunday (OFF)

Work 7 out of every 14 days.
