Family Nurse Practitioner

Responsibilities

• Care for every patient within your scope of practice.
• Diagnose and treat cold, flu, strep, COVID, and other upper respiratory issues.
• Perform minor procedures such as toenail removal and foreign object removal.
• Suture wounds and splint injuries.
• Evaluate and manage general orthopedic conditions.
• Interpret x-rays under the supervision of a radiologist.
• Treat general dermatological issues.
• Provide general eye and gynecological care.
• Treat children of all ages.
• Offer occupational medicine services.
• Conduct telemedicine consultations.

Qualifications

• Family Nurse Practitioner board certification required.
• Master's degree in Nursing (MSN) or higher education required (new graduates are welcome).
• DOT certification or willingness to obtain DOT certification (MainStreet covers the cost).
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience with Electronic Medical Records (EMR) and Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, etc.) is preferred.

Work Schedule

MainStreet Clinic Hours: Open 362 days a year, Monday – Friday 8:00 a.m. – 8:00 p.m., Saturday and Sunday 9:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. Rotate every other weekend.
