Responsibilities
- Diagnose and provide nonsurgical treatment of diseases and injuries for children and adults.
- Develop a plan of care for each patient, including complete medical history, physician examination, diagnosis, appropriate treatment and/or referral.
- Confer with consulting physicians, nurses, patients and patients' family concerning treatment and care of patients.
- Refer those cases that require specialist services but maintain responsibility, assuring that continuity of care is provided.
Requirements
- M.D. or D.O. degree.
- Licensure to practice medicine in Louisiana.
- Completion of a family medicine residency.
