Family Medicine Physician - Locum Tenens

Role Overview This position is for a primary care physician providing clinic-based services in a correctional facility setting. The clinician will deliver adult patient care, focusing on evaluations, chronic disease management, and treatment of acute illnesses. Responsibilities Provide primary care to adult patients in a secure clinical environment.Manage a caseload of approximately 18-20 patients daily.Perform patient evaluations, chronic disease management, and acute illness treatment.Work Monday through Friday, potentially four 10-hour shifts.Collaborate with support staff including RNs and LPNs. Qualifications & Skills Virginia medical license, DEA registration, and prescriptive authority.Board certification (negotiable).Strong clinical evaluation and patient management skills. Key Details No call coverage required.On-site work environment.Support staff includes RNs and LPNs.Focus on adult patient population.Credentialing estimated at two weeks.
