Family Medicine Physician - Locum Tenens

Role Overview: This position is for a Board-Certified Physician (MD) providing outpatient primary care services at a federally qualified health center in Huntsville, Alabama. Key Responsibilities: Deliver primary care to adult patients (14+), managing a caseload of 15-20 patients daily. Collaborate with a team of one physician and three nurse practitioners, and provide call coverage at a 1:6 ratio. Work on-site, following established clinical workflows to ensure quality patient care. Qualifications & Skills: Must hold an active Alabama medical license, DEA registration, and prescriptive authority. Board certification or eligibility in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine is required. Must be vaccinated for influenza. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment. Additional Details: Typical workweek includes 4-5 days, Monday through Friday, with hours from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM (Friday until 12:00 PM). Call calls are routed through a service, with minimal weekly interruptions. No government affiliation required.
