Compensation & Benefits
Guaranteed Hourly Wage: $195.00 per hour.
SEARHC will coordinate and purchase flights, rental car, and housing accommodations.

Schedule and Work-Life Balance
Workweek: Monday–Friday, 8:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m., with telemedicine included and no call.
Preference: 13 weeks annually.
Practice Details
Clinic facilities: 16 exam spaces with two procedure rooms.
One medical assistant per physician, dedicated OB/Primary Care nurse case manager, nurse triage, and nutritionist.
Ancillary services include Mammogram, CT, DEXA, Ultrasound including ECHO, X-ray, laboratory services, and MRI.
Procedure opportunities: Women’s health, prenatal, vasectomies, colposcopies, circumcisions, wound care, draining abscesses, and cyst removal.
Hospital capabilities: Nearby Bartlett Regional Hospital has 57 inpatient beds with 7 OB rooms, 2 C-Section rooms, and a special care nursery.
Qualifications
MD or DO with active/unrestricted Alaska medical license or ability to obtain license.
Board-certified or board-eligible in Family Medicine.
Preference: Two to Four years of rural practice experience.
Required: BLS.
Key Essential Functions And Accountabilities Of The Job
Provides comprehensive primary care including but not limited to diagnosis, treatment, minor procedures, coordination of care, referral, preventative care, and health maintenance to a dedicated panel of patients.
Maintains accurate and timely documentation of services in accordance with SEARHC policy.
Provides optimal patient experience using strong listening and communication skills that build long term patient care relationships.
Actively participates in SEARHC quality patient care initiatives and quality assurance programs.
Actively participates in provider and clinic meetings, and SEARHC medical staff functions.
At times the Physician may be directed to provide services outside of the clinic to meet the patient’s needs, e.g., local long-term care center, Pioneer Home, patient’s home, and local schools.
Knowledge and Skills
Knowledge of the principles and practices of primary care.
Awareness of standards of care, EMTALA, HIPAA, health care risk management principles, medical ethics, and medical malpractice principles.
Ability to communicate in an open, respectful, helpful, supportive, and collaborative manner with staff and patients.
Ability to provide high-quality health care services including the performance of medical procedures appropriate to the outpatient and emergency care setting.
Provide clinical leadership, promote teamwork and collaboration, provide clinical guidance as requested for midlevel providers, and resolve conflict.
Efficiently utilize the electronic medical record and other clinically required technology.
Express ideas clearly through oral and written communication skills, analyze complex situations efficiently and problem solve, and effectively implement clinical program strategies.
