Family Medicine Physician

About the role

Spectrum Healthcare Resources is seeking a civilian Internal Medicine, Family Practice, or Hospitalist physician for the Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Battle Creek, Michigan. The physician will be responsible for the total inpatient population of medical patients, community‑living‑center residents, and medical outpatients who present to the hospital seeking care.

Responsibilities

• Provide care for the full inpatient medical census, including community‑living‑center residents and outpatient referrals.
• Respond to nursing staff inquiries and determine whether a patient requires an in‑person evaluation.
• Exercise authority to admit, treat, discharge, or refer patients in accordance with clinical privileges.
• Maintain clinical documentation and adhere to VA and hospital policies.
• Collaborate with additional VA clinics in Wyoming, Benton Harbor (MI), Muskegon (MI), and Lansing (MI) as needed.

Requirements

• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine.
• Valid state medical license.
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications.
