About the Role
Join our dedicated team as a Family Medicine Physician committed to delivering patient-centered primary care in a welcoming and professional environment. Our mission is to improve health outcomes through personalized, accessible healthcare that emphasizes prevention, education, and long-term relationships. This role offers a balanced schedule with no weekend shifts, allowing you to provide comprehensive care to adult and pediatric (2+) patients in our employer-sponsored health and wellness center at 501 East Main Street, Artesia, NM 88210.
Schedule
Monday, Wednesday: 7:30 AM – 3:30 PM
Tuesday, Thursday: 9:30 AM – 6:30 PM
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive primary care services including preventive care, acute illness management, and chronic disease treatment.
- Perform physical examinations, health-risk assessments, and review medical histories.
- Diagnose and treat a variety of acute and chronic health conditions.
- Develop personalized treatment plans in partnership with patients to promote wellness.
- Educate patients on preventive measures, healthy lifestyles, and disease management.
- Order and interpret diagnostic tests and laboratory results accurately.
- Coordinate referrals to specialists and other healthcare resources as needed.
- Maintain accurate, timely medical records in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Collaborate effectively with clinical staff such as Medical Assistants, Patient Advocates, and Service Directors to deliver coordinated care.
- Participate in setting clinic goals and initiatives aligned with our mission of putting patients first.
- Support the organization’s commitment to providing accessible, high-quality healthcare focused on prevention and patient engagement.
Qualifications
- Medical Doctor (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree from an accredited institution.
- Completion of an approved Family Medicine residency program.
- Minimum of one year of post-residency clinical experience.
- Current unrestricted medical license in or ability to obtain one.
- Board certification or eligibility in Family Medicine.
- Strong clinical judgment with a focus on evidence-based, patient-centered care.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to build trusting relationships with diverse patient populations.
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and confidentiality standards.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
- Current BLS or ACLS certification.
