Family Medicine Physician Associate - Locum Tenens

About the Role

This position is for a Physician Assistant (PA) or Nurse Practitioner (NP) in a primary care outpatient clinic within a Federally Qualified Health Center. The provider will deliver comprehensive care to patients of all ages, including routine visits, gender-affirming care, substance use treatment, mental health support, physicals, and sick visits.

Responsibilities

• Provide primary care services in a structured clinic environment.
• Manage a caseload of approximately 10-15 patients daily.
• Collaborate with a team of physicians, nurse practitioners, and behavioral health specialists.
• Utilize the EPIC EMR system for documentation.

Requirements

• Active Oregon license, Oregon DEA, and BLS or ACLS certification.
• At least 2 years of primary care experience; experience in urgent care is not preferred.
• Experience in gender-affirming care or substance use disorder treatment is a plus but not required.
• Prescriptive authority is required.
• Medicare enrollment is preferred.

Schedule

Workdays are Monday through Friday, with flexible hours between 7:30 a.m. and 6:30 p.m., potentially four 10-hour shifts. No call required.

Work Environment

Patient population includes all ages, with a focus on primary care needs. The location is on-site in Medford, OR, in a community-rich setting.
