About the role
Cascades East Family Medicine is part of the Department of Family Medicine at Oregon Health & Science University (OHSU), located in Klamath Falls, Oregon. The clinic is a certified Patient Centered Primary Care Medical Home, focusing on team-based care and innovation. Sky Lakes Medical Center, the hospital where Cascades East Family Medicine is based, serves as the sole healthcare provider for the Klamath Basin. The clinic works within a collaborative interprofessional team to provide comprehensive family medicine services, including newborn care, pregnancy support, and substance use disorder treatment.
Responsibilities
- Function as a clinician at Cascades East Family Medicine Center and have privileges at Sky Lakes Medical Center.
- Practice clinical medicine at Cascades East Family Medicine Center, eight half days per week, with two half days available for administrative duties.
- Document using the electronic health record and maintain complete and timely patient care documentation.
- Participate in seeing patients during expanded access hours, including evenings and weekends, and cover call duties.
- Develop the practice into a vibrant clinical and academic operation, ensuring success from both a professional and business perspective.
- Be available for teaching activities.
Qualifications
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Family Medicine.
- M.D. or D.O. degree from an ACGME-accredited Family Medicine residency program.
- Capable of providing comprehensive health services and certified to prescribe medications.
