Family Medicine Nurse Practitioner - Locum Tenens Coverage

About the role

This position involves providing primary care services in a correctional facility setting, focusing on adult patients. The clinician will deliver comprehensive family medicine care, managing approximately 18-20 patients daily within a secure environment.

Responsibilities

• Conduct patient evaluations, manage chronic conditions, and treat acute illnesses
• Maintain accurate medical documentation
• Provide prescriptive authority as required
• Work with support staff including RNs and LPNs
• Deliver care during daytime hours, typically Monday through Friday

Requirements

• Board certification in family medicine or relevant specialty
• Ability to manage a diverse adult patient population
• Proficiency in patient evaluation and documentation
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
