About the role
This academic-focused role offers the opportunity to mentor and train the next generation of physicians while maintaining a balanced clinical practice within a supportive and collaborative teaching environment.
Responsibilities
- Provide outpatient and/or inpatient Family Medicine care while supervising residents
- Serve as a clinical instructor, participating in didactics, curriculum development, and resident education
- Evaluate resident performance and support recruitment efforts
- Ensure program compliance with institutional and accreditation standards
- Participate in scholarly activity and program development
- Document patient care using hospital EMR system
Requirements
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Family Medicine
- Active or eligible Texas medical license
- Experience in teaching, mentoring, or academic medicine preferred
- Obstetrics experience or fellowship training preferred
- Interest or experience in prenatal care and/or medication-assisted treatment (MAT) is a plus
