Family Medicine CCMA - Gatesville Clinic/ Float

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical support including: Taking vital signs and patient histories, preparing patients for examinations and procedures, assisting providers during exams, performing basic laboratory tasks (e.g., specimen collection, EKGs, injections), and maintaining accurate and timely electronic medical records (EMR).
• Support front office duties when needed: Patient check-in/check-out, scheduling appointments, insurance verification.
• Float between multiple locations/departments based on staffing needs.
• Ensure exam rooms are clean, stocked, and compliant with safety standards.
• Deliver excellent patient care and maintain confidentiality.

Requirements

• Current Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA) certification required.
• A high school diploma or equivalent (an Associate’s degree is preferred).
• A minimum of 1 year of clinical experience preferred.
• Experience with EMR systems.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to travel between locations and adapt to varying workflows.
