About the role

Located just 50 minutes from St. Louis, MO, this growing community serves both rural residents and young‑adult professionals seeking proximity to the city without its downsides. The clinic already has established patients in its co‑located dental and behavioral health services and is adding primary care. It features a private office for the physician, six exam rooms, and uses NexGen EMR. Each provider is supported by a 1.5‑person nursing team and a referral coordinator who manages specialty referrals and follow‑up documentation. The clinic is expected to grow quickly and may require an additional provider in the near future.

Responsibilities

• Manage a patient panel with a template allowing approximately 12 patients in the morning and 12 in the afternoon, adjusted for complexity.
• Participate in a rotating after‑hours call schedule (one week at a time, averaging about four weeks per year); calls are triaged by nursing staff, with physician contact limited to phone/text when needed.
• Collaborate with the referral coordinator to ensure specialty referrals are tracked and documented.
• Maintain accurate records in NexGen EMR and contribute to clinic growth and quality improvement.

Pay

$275,000 per year base salary.

Schedule

Standard schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:45 am to 4:30 pm, with possible flexibility for a four‑day, 10‑hour workday.

Call schedule: rotating one‑week on‑call blocks averaging four times per year; after‑hours calls are triaged by nursing staff, requiring only phone/text follow‑up from the physician when needed.
