Family Law Paralegal

About the role

We are looking for an experienced paralegal to assist the attorneys in preparing and organizing various legal documents for upcoming cases and trials. This is a 100% work-from-home/remote position. The ideal candidate is someone who has a proven track record of professional results and high-quality output. Responsibilities

• Drafting legal documents and correspondence
• Conducting basic legal research
• Preparing discovery and responses to discovery requests
• Assisting with legal marketing content
• Completing court forms and filings
• Calendaring and keeping track of deadlines
• Arranging service of process
• Processing incoming and outgoing mail
• Submitting documents via mail, email, fax, and courier
• Managing clients’ electronic files
• Providing client updates
• Timekeeping and entering client expenses
• Notarizing documents
• Keeping track of case progress
• Documenting and updating the firm’s standard operating procedures
• Performing additional duties as needed

Requirements

• Virginia Family Law: 3 years (Required)
• Paralegal: 3 years (Required)
• High school or equivalent (Required)
• Associate’s Degree (Preferred)

Skills

Strong research and drafting skills, as well as attention to detail and organization skills, are absolutely essential to succeed in this role. You must be highly disciplined and reliable to thrive in a remote work environment.

Pay

$55,000 - $65,000 yearly
