Key Responsibilities
- Manage a broad range of family law matters, including:Divorce and separationChild custody and parenting time disputesChild support and alimony mattersEquitable distribution and property divisionPost-judgment and enforcement matters
- Conduct client consultations and provide legal guidance throughout the representation
- Draft pleadings, motions, certifications, settlement agreements, and other legal documents
- Prepare and file court documents in compliance with applicable rules and deadlines
- Attend court appearances, hearings, mediations, and depositions
- Develop case strategies and negotiate settlements when appropriate
- Maintain regular communication with clients and provide exceptional client service
- Collaborate with attorneys and support staff to ensure effective case management
Qualifications
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school
- Licensed and in good standing with the New Jersey Bar
- Prior family law experience is strongly preferred, but qualified attorneys with transferable litigation experience will also be considered
- Strong understanding of New Jersey family law procedures and practice
- Experience drafting motions, pleadings, and legal correspondence
- Able to manage multiple cases and deadlines simultaneously
- Excellent analytical, negotiation, and problem-solving skills
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
