Family Law Attorney

About the role

Our client, a reputable law firm, is seeking a Family Law Attorney to join its team in El Segundo, CA. This role involves managing a full caseload of family law matters, with a focus on complex financial disputes, high-asset cases, and strategic client advisory. The position offers a hybrid work environment.

Responsibilities

• Manage family law cases from intake through resolution
• Draft, review, and file legal documents including motions, pleadings, and agreements
• Conduct legal research and develop case strategies
• Represent clients in court proceedings, hearings, and depositions
• Advise clients on legal rights, obligations, and case developments
• Participate in client consultations, negotiations, and settlement discussions
• Collaborate with internal teams and external experts on complex financial matters

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school
• Active membership in the California State Bar
• Strong experience in family law matters (divorce, custody, support, asset division)
• Proven ability to manage cases independently
• Experience drafting motions and handling litigation processes
• Strong analytical, communication, and negotiation skills

Preferred Experience

• Experience handling high net worth or complex asset cases
• Exposure to business valuation, financial disputes, or forensic accounting concepts
• Background working with business owners, professionals, or investors
