Responsibilities

• Provide expert legal counsel to clients on various family law matters including divorce, child custody, child support, domestic violence, alimony, adoption, and guardianship.
• Represent clients in court, presenting evidence to support the client’s case, cross-examining witnesses, and arguing motions.
• Prepare and draft legal documents such as pleadings, briefs, motions, appeals, and agreements.
• Conduct legal research to support case preparation and stay updated on recent developments in family law.
• Negotiate settlements in a manner that is in the best interest of the client.
• Maintain a high level of professionalism and confidentiality in all interactions with clients, court personnel, and other attorneys.
• Participate in business development efforts to attract new clients and build strong relationships with existing ones.

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
• Must be a licensed attorney in good standing with the state bar.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience as an Associate Attorney with a focus on family law.
• Proven experience representing clients in family law cases.
• Strong knowledge of family law and court procedures.
• Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously and meet deadlines.
• High degree of professional ethics and integrity.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to develop strong client relationships.
• Proficiency in legal research software and Microsoft Office Suite.
