Bethany Christian Services is a nonprofit organization that supports families, fosters children, and assists refugees. The Homebuilders Specialist role focuses on supporting families at risk of separation due to challenges like neglect, substance use, or conflict.
Responsibilities
- Conduct clinical interventions consistent with HOMEBUILDERS standards
- Collect and report data thoroughly and promptly
- Provide comprehensive assessments focusing on strengths and behaviors
- Develop and monitor intervention goals and service plans
- Advocate for clients and provide necessary concrete goods and services
- Support other specialists and arrange coverage as needed
- Maintain clear and concise documentation of treatment efforts
- Arrange appropriate coverage for 24/7 availability
- Submit weekly production reports and progress notes
- Implement quality enhancement or improvement plans
- Facilitate flexible appointment times and work nontraditional hours
- Participate in weekly meetings and group consultations
- Refer families for additional support and stay updated on community resources
- Adhere to regulatory requirements and complete necessary trainings
- Engage with clients in a nonjudgmental and empowering manner
- Work independently and maintain confidentiality
- Operate a vehicle for Bethany’s needs
- Pass background checks and maintain a reliable vehicle
- Live within sixty minutes of most families being served
- Utilize computer skills for essential functions
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Social Sciences, Human Services, or related field from an accredited college with at least two (2) years of experience working with children and families
- Master's degree in Social Work, Human Services, or related field from an accredited college with experience working with children and families
- Demonstrated experience working with children and families from diverse cultures with sensitivity to cultural differences and norms
- Demonstrated ability with providing excellent clinical and crisis intervention skills
- Knowledge of state, community, and agency resources
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Capacity to engage, respect, and serve a wide range of clients with a nonjudgmental attitude
- Must have an ability to provide excellent and compassionate customer service
- Must be willing and able to work outside of normal business hours
- Must live within sixty minutes of proximity to most families being served
- Computer skills sufficient to perform essential functions including knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
- Must be 21 years old with a valid driver's license with at least 3 years driving experience in the U.S.
- Must pass a Motor Vehicle Records (MVR) check and maintain a reliable vehicle with proof of adequate coverage
- Must pass a criminal history screen, including state and local child protection agency registries

Pay
$40 - $45 per hour
