Family Interaction Specialist

The Family Interaction Specialist provides comprehensive service coordination and connects children and families to essential community resources. With expertise in parenting education from infancy through young adulthood, this role supports families by facilitating enhanced visitation for children in kinship or foster care, helping maintain strong connections with their parents and communities. The specialist also delivers individualized and group-based supervision, behavioral interventions, and leadership to promote a trauma-informed, supportive treatment environment. Through compassionate and evidence-based practices, the Family Interaction Specialist plays a vital role in fostering positive outcomes and long-term stability for children and families.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive service coordination and connect children and families to essential community resources.
• Facilitate enhanced visitation for children in kinship or foster care to maintain strong connections with their parents and communities.
• Deliver individualized and group-based supervision and behavioral interventions.
• Promote a trauma-informed, supportive treatment environment through leadership and evidence-based practices.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• At least one year of relevant experience.
• Eligibility for a Qualified Mental Health certification.
• Active driver’s license and proof of auto insurance.
