About the role

The Family Interaction Specialist at The Buckeye Ranch provides comprehensive service coordination and connects children and families to essential community resources. With expertise in parenting education from infancy through young adulthood, this role supports families by facilitating enhanced visitation for children in kinship or foster care, helping maintain strong connections with their parents and communities. The specialist also delivers individualized and group-based supervision, behavioral interventions, and leadership to promote a trauma-informed, supportive treatment environment.

Responsibilities

  • Supports families by facilitating enhanced visitation for children in kinship or foster care.
  • Helps maintain strong connections between children and their parents and communities.
  • Delivers individualized and group-based supervision, behavioral interventions, and leadership.
  • Promotes a trauma-informed, supportive treatment environment.
  • Uses compassionate and evidence-based practices to foster positive outcomes and long-term stability for children and families.

Qualifications

  • A high school diploma or GED.
  • At least one year of relevant experience.
  • Eligible for a Qualified Mental Health certification.
  • An active driver’s license and proof of auto insurance.
