General Responsibilities
To oversee and administratively manage multiple programs and projects for the Early Head Start Program (EHSP).
To support the strategic planning of EHSP objectives, ensuring the successful implementation of programs/projects by aligning them with organizational goals and objectives, as outlined in the Head Start Program Performance Standards.
To supervise staff, fostering a collaborative and supportive work environment.
To ensure compliance with regulatory responsibilities and assists with budgeting, technical training and assistance, and report writing.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
- Recruits and enrolls eligible families for the UAB EHSP; works with community partners to receive referrals.
- Maintains knowledge and practice of the Head Start Program Performance Standards.
- Plans and implements the Family and Community Services and components of ERSEA for the program in accordance with the Head Start Program Performance Standards.
- Led and manages multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring coordination and alignment across teams, resources, and timelines.
- Alices resources effectively, including personnel, budget, and equipment, to support program objectives and priorities.
- Provides leadership and direction to program teams, fostering a collaborative and supportive work environment, and empowering team members to achieve their goals.
- Makes monthly, semi-annual, and annual reports for the program content area.
- Facilitates needed content area screenings and assessments for program children and families.
- Participates in monthly family review, coordinator, and staff meetings.
- Helps to plan and coordinate socialization and parenting activities for the UAB EHSP.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a related field and five (5) years of related experience required.
- The successful candidate must complete a background check prior to hire, to include a sex offender registry check; state or tribal criminal history records, including fingerprint checks; Federal Bureau of Investigation criminal history records, including fingerprint checks; and a child abuse and neglect state registry check, if available.
Pay Range
$55,180 – $89,670
