Major Performance Responsibilities and Duties
- Student Recruitment/On-Boarding Support
- Create systems to track recruitment effort results.
- Serve as the campus liaison with MNPS and its Optional Schools office.
- Owner of the MNPS Optional Schools or SchoolMint Enrollment System.
- Owner of recruitment activities relating to our LEAD Public Schools.
- Support families throughout the enrollment and on-boarding process.
- Work collaboratively with the Campus Leadership Team, Manager of Family Engagement and Customer Experience, and Director of Enrollment and Family Engagement.
- Coordinate ongoing and meaningful family engagement at our schools and in the community.
- Support Title 1 and School Improvement Planning by sharing vital engagement information.
- Support the successful recruitment of volunteers and parents for LEAD Public Schools initiatives.
- Engage current faculty and staff in family engagement initiatives.
- Collaborate with the Network Engagement Team for Family Resources and Support.
Family Engagement
- Develop and execute a family engagement strategy/plan.
- Plan and execute quarterly Network Events.
- Host diversity initiatives to support engagement of diverse student populations.
- Administer timely parent and family surveys and compile data.
- Document and document sign-in sheets, attendance, and notes for Family Leadership Team Meetings.
- Produce monthly, quarterly, and annual reports on family and community engagement.
Community Engagement
- Maintain and evaluate geographic priority areas for engagement efforts.
- Identify key community partners and develop strong relationships with them.
- Bring community partners into the school to provide complementary services.
- Recruit volunteers for LEAD Public Schools Network-wide initiatives.
- Recruit parents to support LEAD Public Schools in advocacy work.
- Serve as a liaison between LEAD Public Schools and the greater Nashville community.
Customer Experience
- Cultivate a comprehensive LEAD Customer Experience Journey Map.
- Create a monthly engagement for families to understand LEAD Public Schools offerings.
- Collaborate with the Manager of Family Engagement and Customer Experience to articulate the LEAD Value Proposition.
- Lead and organize school activities and events to positively impact school results and culture.
Qualifications/Requirements
- Education: High School Diploma or equivalency.
- Skills: Strong project management, organizational, and time management skills; excellent customer service skills; ability to communicate effectively with diverse groups; strong analytical and critical thinking skills; initiative, maturity, and good judgment; proficient in Microsoft Office or similar applications; multilingual ability with preference for Spanish and/or Arabic; extensive mail-merge experience; strong Excel skills; moderate graphic design experience (Adobe or related).
- Experience: At least two years of experience in family recruitment, family engagement, community engagement, student support, front office management, and customer service.
- Other Qualifications: Flexibility to lead and attend initiatives and events on evenings and weekends; ability to build trust and drive change; belief in LEAD’s mission.
