Family & Community Engagement Coordinator

About the role

The Boys & Girls Club of Chicopee is seeking a full-time Family & Community Engagement Coordinator to strengthen relationships between the Club, its members, families, and the community.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary liaison between the Club, volunteers, community partners, schools, and the public
• Foster meaningful connections that increase family engagement, expand volunteer involvement, and promote the Club's mission through outreach, events, and communications
• Develop and maintain partnerships with local schools, businesses, civic organizations, and community agencies
• Cookordination volunteer recruitment, orientation, scheduling, and recognition
• Manage the Club's social media presence
• Oversee facility rentals
• Support marketing and development efforts
• Assist with organization-wide events and fundraising initiatives
• Lead the Club on the Go mobile program
• Plan, coordinate, and facilitate engaging activities for the mobile program
• Ensure the safety of members and staff during mobile program operations
• Attend regular training to stay updated on best practices

Requirements

• Associates Degree Required or a minimum of three (3) years equivalent combination of education, training and experience in a non-profit organization
• Experience working with youth organizations preferred
• Computer literacy, including the Microsoft Office Suite and social media platforms
• Excellent leadership, organization, interpersonal, and communication skills, both oral and written
• Ability to deal with the general public
• Maintain a high energy level
• Comfortable performing multi-faceted projects
• Must be deemed suitable after initial and subsequent Background Record Checks
• Must be 21 years or older
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record that meets the Organization's insurance and vehicle operation requirements
• Willingness to comply with company policy regarding background checks

• Competitive salary of $21.00-$27.50 per hour

Pay

$21.00-$27.50 per hour

Schedule

This Family & Community Engagement Coordinator position is typically scheduled for up to 35 hours per week, consisting of 7-hour workdays with a 30-minute unpaid meal break. Work hours and days are flexible and based on the needs of the organization. The position regularly requires working evenings and weekends to support family engagement activities, community events, volunteer initiatives, fundraising efforts, rentals, and other Boys & Girls Club programs. Flexibility to adjust work hours as needed to meet organizational priorities and community needs is essential.
