Family Centered Therapist

About the role

Coastal Horizons Center, Inc. seeks Family Centered Treatment Therapists to provide mental health therapy services in various North Carolina counties. The ideal candidate will work in communities such as Pitt, Craven, Lenoir, Onslow, Duplin, New Hanover, Brunswick, Pender, Guilford, Cumberland, and Harnett Counties.

Responsibilities

• Provide independent diagnostic and psycho-social evaluations and therapy services focusing on mental health, family, parenting, adolescent, and substance abuse issues.
• Evaluate client and family situations, assess mental health, substance use, and medical needs, and develop person-centered plans.
• Conduct in-depth clinical interviews and document diagnoses and recommendations.
• Develop and implement ongoing monitoring, assessment, and updates to Person-Centered and Crisis Plans.
• Offer individual, group, and family counseling tailored to individuals with physical disabilities, co-occurring disorders, mental illness, substance abuse, intellectual disability, and developmental disabilities.

Requirements

• Completion of a Bachelor’s Degree in a Human Service field is preferred.
• Masters degree in a human services or related field, with two years of progressive child and family mental health/substance use counseling experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• A valid driver's license and/or government-issued ID is required.
• Reliable transportation is necessary.
