Family Birthing Center Nurse Educator

About the Role

As an RN Educator, you will design, implement, and evaluate evidence-based educational programs, orientations, and continuing education to enhance staff skills, competency, and professional growth. The focus is on promoting quality, safety, and patient-centered care through staff development and education.

Responsibilities

• Assess educational needs and collaborate with leaders to develop competency programs.
• Create and document education plans aligned with organizational goals.
• Utilize adult learning principles and innovative teaching methods, including technology and simulation.
• Author curricula, deliver in-services, classes, and courses based on identified needs.
• Maintain documentation such as attendance, evaluations, and competency validation.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Nursing.
• 5+ years of clinical experience in a specialty area.
• Current RN licensure.
• Certifications in BLS and ACLS.

Qualifications

• Preferred: Master's degree in Nursing or related field.
• Preferred: Specialty certification.
• Preferred: 2+ years of teaching experience.
• Preferred: Labor and Delivery experience.
