About the role
This position is .60FTE at Middleton High School, and .40FTE at Glacier Creek Middle School.
Responsibilities
- Teach Family and Consumer Education (FCE) courses at both high school and middle school levels.
- Embed differentiation in daily instruction to meet the needs of a diverse student population.
- Collaborate with colleagues to promote continuous improvement in teaching and learning.
- Communicate effectively with families to form partnerships.
- Reflect on and adjust instruction based on formative assessment data.
- Commit to social justice and culturally and linguistically responsive practices.
- Commit to teaching the whole child, including academics and social emotional learning.
- Commit to continued development of cultural competence.
Requirements
- Valid Wisconsin teaching certificate in Family and Consumer Education.
- Minimum grade point average of 2.75 in degree course work.
- Ability to adjust instruction based on formative assessment data.
- Ability to communicate effectively with families.
- Ability to reflect on practice.
- Bilingual candidates (Spanish/English) are strongly preferred.
Qualifications
- Valid Wisconsin teaching certificate in the subject area of employment (Family and Consumer Education).
- Minimum grade point average of 2.75 in a 4.0 grading system in degree course work.
