About the role

This position is .60FTE at Middleton High School, and .40FTE at Glacier Creek Middle School.

Responsibilities

• Teach Family and Consumer Education (FCE) courses at both high school and middle school levels.
• Embed differentiation in daily instruction to meet the needs of a diverse student population.
• Collaborate with colleagues to promote continuous improvement in teaching and learning.
• Communicate effectively with families to form partnerships.
• Reflect on and adjust instruction based on formative assessment data.
• Commit to social justice and culturally and linguistically responsive practices.
• Commit to teaching the whole child, including academics and social emotional learning.
• Commit to continued development of cultural competence.

Requirements

• Valid Wisconsin teaching certificate in Family and Consumer Education.
• Minimum grade point average of 2.75 in degree course work.
• Ability to adjust instruction based on formative assessment data.
• Ability to communicate effectively with families.
• Ability to reflect on practice.
• Bilingual candidates (Spanish/English) are strongly preferred.

Qualifications

• Valid Wisconsin teaching certificate in the subject area of employment (Family and Consumer Education).
• Minimum grade point average of 2.75 in a 4.0 grading system in degree course work.
